The 2019 edition of Radio ZU's biggest and wildest concert took place in Galați, the charming city by the Danube. For eight hours, the top names in Romanian pop performed in a dance marathon, with only a few pauses for rain. As with the previous two editions, Uncles handled all the communication materials, collaborating with the imaginative illustrator Mircea Pop, who created over 200 colorful characters—including aliens, sirens, vikings, and dancing dogs—to bring the venue to life.
Given the stellar lineup, we decided to feature every artist in the communication materials, extending the illustrated theme to include portraits of all the performers. These characters filled the city walls and adorned the venue branding. Digital engagement was maintained through creative formats and variations on the illustrated theme, with Instagram, Facebook, and website posts building anticipation for over a month before the event.
We also composed an anthem for the event, produced a music video, and aired it ahead of the concert, ensuring everyone would know it in advance. Additionally, we created a video template for the live show on both web and TV.
We even created an hymn song, we made a clip for it, and aired it before the show, so that everybody will know it beforehand.
